What I offer

One size doesn't fit all

All your favourite people

This is your more traditional style of wedding ceremony, around thirty minutes long.

  • A 15-minute complimentary introductory call
  • Resources and questionnaires provided to help structure and personalise your ceremony
  • Guidance on readings, rituals and personal vows as required
  • All legal paperwork prepared, lodged and registered with BDM Tasmania
  • Rehearsal by request

One wedding a day, always.

Elopements

An elopement is its own intentional ceremony, not a scaled-back version of a larger wedding.

  • Get married anywhere, on any day, in Tasmania
  • Witnesses can be provided if necessary
  • Assistance with other vendors such as photographers
  • An intimate ceremony without all the fuss

Popular locations include Freycinet, kunanyi or any of our local beaches.

Legals-only ceremonies

As the name suggests, only the legal wording so that you are legally married. Ideal for people who are celebrating at another time or overseas, or who simply don't want the fuss — they just want to get married.

  • All legal paperwork prepared, lodged and registered with BDM Tasmania
  • Ceremony length approximately five minutes
  • Can be held in your loungeroom

Vow renewals & commitment ceremonies

For couples marking ten years, fifty years, or simply coming out the other side of something. No legal paperwork, so the whole ceremony is yours to shape.

  • A ceremony built around what has actually happened since
  • Room for children, grandchildren and your original bridal party too

The planning

How we get from hello to married

  1. Say hello

Send me your date and a rough idea of what you're imagining. I'll let you know as soon as possible whether I'm available.

  2. Meet properly

We meet in person, over video or by phone call, discuss your ceremony and decide if we are the right fit. You'll receive my quote for services and let me know if you'd like to proceed.

  3. Sort the legals

Once engaged, I'll guide you all the way. The Notice of Intended Marriage is lodged at least one month before your date, and I'll walk you through the documents and deadlines clearly.

  4. Shape the ceremony

You'll be guided all the way with resources and questionnaires. Your input is crucial at this stage to get the best outcome during the ceremony.

  5. On the day

I arrive early to set up and say hello. I'm there to discuss any last minute changes and to calm the nerves.

In their words

Couples who have stood in front of me

“We are so grateful to Mary for creating such a warm and romantic wedding ceremony for us. Her professionalism and kindness truly made a difference — she provided us with so many thoughtful ideas and support throughout the process. Mary made everything feel so special and meaningful.”
Yina and Yang — April 2026
“We never wanted a big wedding, we wanted our special day to be filled with relaxation so that we could really take in the moment and a ceremony that reflected our values. Mary was fantastic in helping us bring that to fruition. We met together face-to-face initially where we got to know each other over tea and relayed to her what our vision was for the day. From what she had learnt about us she provided us with a draft script to which she gave us full creative control.”
Patrea and Simon — June 2026
“We're so happy we had Mary as our celebrant for our wedding. The ceremony was engaging, just the right length and reflected us as a couple. Our family and friends commented how much they enjoyed Mary's ceremony, being a part of it and that it felt so personal.”
Amber and Dylan — February 2026
“Mary was an absolute dream to work with. Right from the beginning she made us feel completely comfortable and like we had been friends for a long time. So much so that our photographer asked how long we had known each other for. She spoke so beautifully about our story. She brought a perfect balance of calm and excitement to the day.”
Bridgette and Clay — December 2025
